Cottage Pie

It might surprise you with the amount of baking I do, that I love savoury food more. Cottage pie has always been a staple in our house and is a perfect hearty dinner in my eyes. I always go on about homemade being tastier and far better for you, but when you compare this to an aul ready meal version I think you'll understand. If this doesn't satisfy a bunch of hungry hallions I don't know what will.

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

Get your large pot over a medium to high heat adding 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter or oil. Once heated add your beef mince and brown this off. Pop this into a separate bowl when done.
