Sausage and Bean Pie

It might look like a dog’s dinner but trust me this is like a big warm hug. One of my best friend's Kyle introduced me to this recipe and it's become a winter staple ever since. It's packed with meaty goodness from the sausages and loads of flavour from the onions, garlic and beans. Then the comforting creamy mash and heaps of grated cheese just make it the perfect winter warmer. I have a tendency to boil my beans because I love them being thick and almost paste like. But I'll admit it's better suited to a runnier bean mixture. The general consensus (my Granda) will probably find it better this way.
