Welsh cakes wouldn't be a traditional recipe in our house but I can see them being one now. They'd be halfway between a scone and a cake according to my Granda. If that doesn't grab your attention there's something wrong, who doesn't like scones and cake? They were delicious with the juicy currants and then lathered in butter fresh off the griddle.
